Building Permits

The Building Permits tab at the top of the page will take you to the various permits required by the City of Yutan. Please follow the link to print off the permit application(s) you will need for your project. All fees are due before permits are issued and work can begin. You will be issued a permit to be displayed in such a way that any officials driving by can easily acknowledge it.  The City of Yutan uses a third party for all building inspections, please allow extra time for permit review and 48 hours notice for inspections when possible.  The City of Yutan follows the ICC/IRC/IBC 2015 codes.  No fees will be collected until the permit application has been reviewed and accepted.

Accessory Structure Building Permit Application - Use for fences, sheds/garages, re-roofs, driveways/sidewalks/patios, decks, swimming pools, or any other small or renovation projects.

No permit fees for the following items: Replacement of existing driveway, patio, decks and porch decking, or sidewalks (all must be to the same size as previous).  Re-roof with no change of decking or roof line (ice and water guard must be installed to code).  Accessory structures less than 200 square feet that do not require footings (please confirm zoning regulations).  Fences that are under 20 feet and can be rebuilt in the same location.
