Community Redevelopment Authority
The Community Redevelopment Authority (CRA) meets as needed throughout the year. The CRA was formed to oversee all the Tax Increment Funding (TIF) projects in Yutan. TIF projects help spur development by utilizing the additional funds generated to pay for improvements to the community. Over the last decade, TIF has helped redevelop parts of the downtown and helped create the Itan neighborhood. Funds also helped support projects in the parks like the backstop nets and the splash pad. Members are appointed to 5-year terms by the mayor and city council, with the City Administrator serving as the TIF Administrator.
