Important Update for City of Yutan Residents: Changes to Automatic Utility Payments
Hello Yutan residents! On July 23rd, the City Council passed Resolution No. 2026-13, which updates the withdrawal date for our automated (ACH) utility payments.
The City Council approved this change to better align with typical pay cycles, improve administrative processing, and streamline the City's cash flow.
Here is what you need to know about the new payment schedule:

New Withdrawal Date: Automatic utility payments will now be withdrawn on the 18th of each month, rather than the 5th.

Effective Date: This new schedule will begin with the September 2026 billing cycle.

Weekends & Holidays: If the 18th falls on a weekend or an observed bank holiday, your payment will be processed on the very next business day.

Official Notice: If you are currently enrolled in ACH payments, the City Clerk will be sending you a written notification at least 30 days before this change goes into effect.
Do I need to do anything?
No action is required on your part if you are already enrolled in automatic payments. The transition to the new date will happen automatically on our end.
